Teenage Girl Tortured for Hours by Friends During Sleepover in Australia

Kirra Hart, a 14-year-old girl from Queensland, Australia, was allegedly tortured for several hours by three girls whom she thought were her friends. The incident took place during a sleepover at a home in Tewantin, near Noosa Heads in Queensland on March 16, 2023.

According to a “Justice for Kirra Hart” petition, the attackers, Rhynisha Grech, Chloe Denman, and Shanaya Grech, punched, slapped, and cut Hart with a knife while filming the brutal attack on camera. Hart’s parents found her swollen and badly bleeding after the teen was let out of the house, and she was rushed to the hospital for surgery due to the severity of her wounds.

A viral video documenting the assault was also released online and sparked major outrage on social media. In the video, Hart can be seen standing in the corner of what appears to be a bedroom while one girl repeatedly punched her, and another held a large knife that the girls reportedly used to threaten and stab her. A third girl was also standing close and filming the attack.

Netizens have demanded justice for Kirra Hart in the wake of the deadly attack. A GoFundMe fundraiser launched for her treatment has garnered over $70,000 at the time of writing.

The petition to seek justice for Hart is close to meeting its 500 signature goal, and social media users continue to demand punishment for the perpetrators. It is not known if authorities have taken legal action against the attackers, but reports suggest that all three girls were legally charged.

Kirra Hart is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. In her GoFundMe fundraiser, Hart’s mother Kristen shared that the incident was physically and mentally “traumatizing” and thanked people for their donations and support.
